Prenatal yoga
An uplifting and supportive practice for moms-to-be. Build the strength that pregnancy, birth and postpartum ask of you, feel confident in your changing body, and connect with your baby and other women in a small, welcoming class.
Feel supported, strong and ready to welcome new life
Each class is designed to prepare your body for birth and for recovery afterwards, in a warm, supportive atmosphere. You'll:
Connect with your perineum and pelvic floor, learning to both strengthen and relax these muscles through breath and gentle movement. That awareness is valuable during birth and for recovery after.
Condition your whole body for birth and the postpartum months, building strength and stamina in your legs, hips, back and deep core, all adapted to your trimester.
Practice breathing techniques that help you stay calm and grounded now, during labor, and in the early days with your baby.
Finish with a long, deeply relaxing rest, fully supported with bolsters and blankets.
Afterwards, stay for a cup of tea and get to know the other moms-to-be.

Whenever feels right for you. Many women join from around 12 weeks, once early tiredness settles, but you're welcome at any stage of pregnancy, even in your final weeks. It's never too late to start.

Absolutely. For most healthy pregnancies, prenatal yoga is one of the most recommended ways to stay active. Every pose is adapted to your trimester, there's always a gentler option, and you're encouraged to listen to your body. As with any exercise in pregnancy, just check in with your doctor or midwife before your first class.
-
Not at all. Many women come to their very first yoga class while pregnant. You'll be guided step by step, and experienced yogis get options to go deeper.

The Nest is in central Saint-Germain-en-Laye, a short walk from the RER A. We're up a few flights of stairs in an old, historic building, so take your time on the way up. There's a comfy seat and a cup of tea waiting for you.

The class is taught in French, and I'm happy to explain in English depending on who's there. Everyone is welcome.
